I often wondered about this. It’s great that you are addressing a real issue, but do you really want to paint a negative picture of the employer?

It is Roofers411′s position that employers are not to blame for this. As stated, this is a “…unique challenge”, no entity is to blame. The point is this; an estimator, adjustor or anyone else climbing onto a roof for an inspection, is putting themselves at undue risk (they have an alternative). Unfortunate as a fall may be to the estimator, ultimately it is the homeowner that will “pay the price”. The code has addressed this issue by requiring anchors on all new construction and roof repairs, but it doesn’t change the fact that millions of roofs are out of compliance and are patiently waiting for you.
